But with time this way of thinking changed. Now government is responsible for the education of girl child of poor families. There are many seats reserved in government service sectors for girls and women in the field of jobs and education. Women play a major role in the development of our country. They are the backbone of our country. Girls are competing with boys. In the field of education, it is now observed that girls are giving better results than boys. Now girls doing many other jobs like — astronauts, auto drivers etc. Many strong women like Kalpana Chawla, Indira Gandhi have come up with their innovative ideas to lead the country towards success. It is a vast social change which will help the women to change the world.
