Importance of Clean and Green Delhi
Good morning, erudite teachers and my dear schoolmates, today I deem it a privilege to share my thought of the importance of clean and green Delhi. We generally say 'Face is the index of mind'. Similarly, Delhi, being the capital of India is the reflection of the whole country. It is of utmost important that make our Delhi clean and green.
Many-a-time, it has been observed that after cleaning the household, people dump the garbage out in the open in the middle of the street. Does such cleaning help in any way? We must understand that along with our houses, our locality, neighborhood, roads and parks should also be clean. The responsibility lies not only on the government but also on each one of us as unless all of us realize our responsibility, making India clean and green would be a far-fetched goal.
Using dustbins in public places, not littering them and maintaining them is essential for all of us if we want to see our Delhi clean. Contributing to the Prime Minister's 'Swachhta Abhiyaan' is the urgent need of the hour which we should realize and act upon. We need to change the image of our Motherland from 'the country of heat and dust' to 'a clean and green country'.
