Swami Shraddhanand (22 February 1856 – 25 December 1926), also known as Mahatma Munshi Ram Vij[1], was an Indian Independence activist and an Arya Samaj sannyasi who propagated the teachings of Dayananda Saraswati. Swami Shraddhanand saraswati was born on 22 feb at talwan in jharchand dristrict in punjab province in 1913 corresponding to 1856 A.D in a well known and well to do khatri family . his father , shri nanak chand , was in the service of the east india company . swamiji was originally given the name of Brihaspati. but later, he was called mushi ram by his father . he was youngest in his family . his school education began in varanasi and ended in lohore after passing the examination for law . He was married the Shrimati Shiva Devi . his wife died when he was only 35 years old and left behind her two sons and two daughters .
