Tanaji malusare

Explanation:

Respected Teachers and my Dear friend

Tanaji Malusare was born in 1600 AD in Godavali, Javali Taluka Satara, Maharashtra to father Sardar Kaloji and mother, Parvati Bai. He was a military commander (Subedar) of Maratha King Chhatrapati Shivaji; he came from a Hindu Koli family.Tulsidas, wrote a powada describing Tanaji's heroics and sacrifice of life in the Battle of Sinhagad  which has since made him a popular figure in Marathi folklore

At Shivaji's request, he pledged to recapture the fortress of Kondana near Pune. According to many accounts, he received the summons while at his son's wedding, and immediately left the festivities. He said,"aadhi lagin kondhanyacha". Tanaji and his troops scaled the fort with the help of domesticated mountain lizards (ghorpad in Marathi), to whom they tied ropes and sent crawling up to the top of the ramparts.

Tanaji was killed in battle, despite a lengthy struggle, and Shivaji rebuked the Kondana Fort in his honour. Legend has it that the words of Shivaji after hearing about Tanaji's demise were gad ala pan Sinha gela.

Thank You!
