Seed of achievement lies in human life

Good morning everyone present. I feel immensely privileged to have got the opportunity to express my views on 'Seed of achievement lies in human life’. The seed of all achievement lies in every human heart; all that is required is the careful nurturing and husbandry of the seed. Rashida Rowe’s words are quite relevant in this context: ‘Sow the seeds of hard-work, determination, and endurance, and reap the rewards of achievement, success, and self-fulfillment.’

However, most of the men and women forget the nurturing of this seed in their hurry to secure and clinch achievement. Consequently, the seed is wasted before burgeoning. People in the hurry of achieving success forget that all big achievements are wrought over long time by putting every small thing in it perfectly. A book becomes a masterpiece only when its author puts each and every word in it perfectly, at the right place. James Allen in his book 'Ways To Blessedness' writes, "Not only great happiness but great power arises from doing things unselfishly, wisely, and perfectly, for life in its totality is made up of little things." All great men who did great things knew this secret. They did all little small things greatly and those small things combined together over the years became great successes.

All great achievers of mankind such as Newton, Leonardo Da Vinci, Lincoln, Einstein, Addison, Mahatama Gandhi, Dr. Kalam, etc. worked very patiently and perseveringly in their chosen fields. Success was a blessing in response to their dedication to their work. For instance J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter became phenomenal success only after her assiduous perseverance. Similarly, Helen Keller nurtured her seed of talent by watering and manuring it with dogged determination. There is another name I would like to cite her: Sudha Chandran, the famous Indian dancer and TV star, who lost lost her leg in an accident. She did not allow her disability to deter her from achieving success. Do you think all the above mentioned personages could have enjoyed the whopping success without nurturing the seed of achievement in their own minds? No. Not at all. They nurtured that seed into fully grown tree.

So in order to achieve success, one must nurture the seed of achievement in one's own mind. Do all the things constituting success in a great way. Minute attention paid to small details results in stupendous success. So next time you chase success, do pay attention to doing all small things greatly with dedication, precision, devotion and passion. This is the secret to success.
