Survival of the fittest has remained the law of jungle since the time immemorial. The same law seems to be truly applicable to the modern society of nowadays. People are really concerned with materialistic aspects of life. They, also, seem to be justified in their proclivities as one cannot survive by getting the aesthetic pleasure from the surroundings or by preaching the sermons of morality.  

Being humanitarian may be the most desirable approach but there is a question, is it the most viable approach? Undoubtedly, the answer is quite simple and straightforward that in order to exist in the world, first of all, one has to ensure the survival of the physicality by fulfilling the instinctive and materialistic needs followed by the conscientious concerns. Therefore, it is right to say that getting a good job to survive in society is more important than being a good human being.
