Today’s generation is more familiar with online classes than traditional classrooms. They are so accustomed to online classes that the thought of going back to school is itself scary for them. While many of them prefer online classes, some students wish to go back to school and share a good laugh with their friends. The main difference between online and offline classes is the mode of teaching and learning. While online learning happens through a computer/laptop with the help of the internet, offline learning happens in a physical setting, such as a classroom. The student needs to be present in the classroom as the teacher teaches and dictates notes to them in offline classes. On the contrary, students can learn from anywhere and gain access to many learning resources, informative videos and PDFs, at any time via online classes. When children have doubts, they do not wait to clear them as they immediately ask what is going on in their minds. This is possible only in traditional classrooms. But, the student-teacher interaction becomes less when the learning takes place online. Besides, kids can approach their teachers easily in classrooms, but it is difficult to connect with them in online classes. Teachers also fail to understand what their students are going through due to the screen barrier in the online mode. The flexibility to study at a convenient place and time is the main reason for the popularity of online classes. Besides, it is cost-effective and provides excellent time management. On the other hand Offline classes enable students to be responsible, systematic and organised, as they study and do their homework regularly, with teachers keeping track of their progress. Moreover, there is real interaction between teachers and students, thus helping students to clear their doubts and share their problems.
