HEY FRIEND YOUR ANSWER IS:-

Explanation:The capacity to think beyond self and serve others is a rare trait which is not commonly seen these days. An individual’s mind seems to be obsessed by egoistic desires which leave no scope for service towards others, who are non-related or non beneficial entities.

Every year on January 5th, when we celebrate the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh- tenth Guru of Sikhs, we are reminded of the glorious sacrifice made by this great sear. He epitomized the adage, ‘service before self’ during his short life, spanning 42 years. At the tender age of 10, he had the spiritual wisdom and strength to propose to his father, ’Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib”, to sacrifice himself in order to protect the Kashmiri pandits, whose identity and lineage was under threat. The then Mughal Emperor, Aurangzeb was forcefully converting each Hindu into Muslims and the Kashmiri pandits had come under his refuge. Guru Gobind Singh remained undaunted by his father’s martyrdom and grew up to be the savior of the mute and docile common men of the society. In this noble pursuit of his, he willfully sacrificed his mother and all four sons, as well.

A similar parallel from the history is that of Jesus Christ who too stood for humanity and mankind and even sacrificed his life for the cause.

At one end, where we have such enriching examples from the history that compel us to look out of the ‘periphery of selfishness’ and serve humanity, on the other end, there are regular incidences of people neglecting their own elderly parents, to the extent of even depriving them of the basic necessities. There have been numerous instances when the children have forcibly evicted their parents from their own house and the hapless parents are made to live in old age homes and other centres.

The plight of the elders in the family in the present day society, pose a different perspective before us. The present generation seems to be busy pampering the future generation and tends to over look the needs of their bearers. There is a tendency among the present day parents that they make their children as pivot points in their life and let the life revolve around their children alone, under the misty impression of being served by them after their retirement.

if it helps pls mark me as the brainliest :)
