IN THE EARLIEST CITIES, chapter # 4, we find some information related to terracotta. Like it has been stated that from the site of Harappa, many terracotta toys have been found and it seems the children used to like these toys.

Terracotta was also used to make spindle whorls. Archaeologists have also found spindle whorls made of terracotta and faience. These were used to  spin  thread.

Hence in such an old civilization, people were skilled in the craftwork of terracotta
