Welcome everyone to today's event of Women's Day in our school.
It is my pleasure to be given the time to talk about the importance of women in our everyday lives.
We may not all be women but we all need our parents, mothers, sisters, grandmothers and aunts in our daily lives. And we also know how much they mean to us. They took care of us, taking care of the house while at the same time bringing up the children in the right way. Moreover, they have to make sure that everyone is fed, and appease everyone and maintain the peace in the house. Now, I am not saying that fathers are not involved but we have to admit that women did more of the housework than most men.
Aside from our daily life females, there are the leaders and fighters who fight for the rights of women and sacrifice their everyday family life for the upliftment of the female gender in society. And it is due to these efforts by them that women have started being taken in equal standing with the menfolk.
So, it is a good thing that our school is also observing this women's day, bringing into the fore the importance of women in our lives. May we always remember to appreciate the women in our lives and be grateful for their presence in our lives.
