              Importance of Exercise in Remaining Fit

Good morning everyone present; I am here to give a speech on ‘Importance of Exercise in Remaining Fit'.

Fitness is very important always. And fitness can be achieved only through exercise. Exercise helps in preventing excess weight gain or maintaining weight loss. When you engage in physical activity, you burn calories. Exercise keeps your blood flowing smoothly, which decreases your risk of cardiovascular diseases. In fact, regular physical activity can help you prevent or manage a wide range of health problems and concerns, including stroke, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, depression, and certain types of cancer, arthritis and falls.  

Exercise is not beneficial for body, but mind and emotions also. Physical activity stimulates various brain chemicals that may leave you feeling happier and more relaxed.

In conclusion it can be said that all of us must include exercise in our daily routine.

                               Importance of Yoga

Good morning everyone present here. I am going to expatiate on ‘Yoga the Internal Cleanser’. Yoga is the most miscomprehended and misunderstood concept, not only in India, but throughout the world. The word ‘Yoga’ conjures up the images of ascetics, or yoga gurus doing some arduous physical postures or asnas! Only bending, stretching, moving, etc. of various body parts in association of certain breathing exercises is not the totality of Yoga. The word ‘Yoga’ in the entirety of its meaning, includes regulating and channeling mental forces towards the direction of merging the petty self with the infinite Universe and becoming one with IT.

The literal meaning of Yoga according to the Vedas is ‘union’. The reward of this union with the Universe is the unfolding and blossoming of our potential to its fullest and optimal level. In the famous documentary on mediation ‘Spiritual Reality: Journey Within’, many benefits of yoga have been enumerated upon. The documentary reveals how yoga replenishes and rejuvenates a yogi physically, mentally, and spiritually. In the state of perfect yoga one receives abundant cosmic energy, which heals, energizes, rejuvenates each and every cell, nerve, and organ of the physical, mental and spiritual body of a man. It cleanses the body of all the ills and toxins that might develop into some fatal ailments.

Yoga has become quite popular in the entire world, especially in the western countries because of its wholesomeness. We must practice it for a healthy, happy and fulfilling life. It is a wonderful alternate healing therapy for any disease.  

                                 Importance of Diet

Good morning everyone present here. I am going to expatiate on ‘Eat healthy to stay healthy’. Health is the prerequisite for any venture. Health is wealth as all the wealth of any sort that one wants to possess can be had only if one is healthy! Suppose a man wishes to enjoy his life to the maximum. For this he requires abundant supply of resources such as, money, luxuries, company of like-minded friends, etc. Suppose he has all of these except health. Do you think he will be able to enjoy life? No, not at all! Life's luxuries can only be enjoyed only when one is healthy.  

Balanced and nutritious diet is the most essential factor for ensuring health and fitness. Virginia Woolf has rightly said: ‘One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.’ It is a well-established truth that balanced diet is the first prerequisite for a healthy and happy life; and health is the first prerequisite for a successful life. Only a country whose people are healthy can dream, dare and achieve national goals of growth, development and prosperity. Only a balanced diet can provide all the essential nutrients, vitamins, minerals, fibers, etc. to keep the metabolism of the body working optimally.

Clinically it is proven that any deficiency of the vital vitamins and minerals may lead to development of serious diseases. And these essential vitamins and minerals can only be obtained from balanced and nutritious diet.  

I conclude my speech by saying that we must eat vitamin and mineral enriched diet everyday to stay healthy.
