The Changes I Want in the Syllabus of English Subject

Good morning respected teachers and dear friends. The topic for today's speech is something that I have been thinking about for sometime now.

English is one of my favorite subjects. Unfortunately, the books are not offering anything productive. There is a lot of prescriptive grammar that is being stressed upon rather on than learning exercises. Moreover, I feel that the lessons prescribed are not age appropriate and hence reading is uninteresting.

I end the speech with a request to the compilers of school text books to take the matter a little more seriously and improve the standard.
