Good morning!
Today is an essential day of the year for our country because it marks the completion of 73 years of Independence. I doubt hardly any of us present here who was lucky enough to hear India’s tryst of destiny on the midnight of 15th August of the year 1947.
We might have read about the struggles of Indian men and women under British rule and their contribution to bringing this country freedom, but I can assure that only the iceberg’s peak is known. What we read is incomparable to the sacrifices made and the hardships our ancestors and country people had do go through for approximately 190 years.
Answer:
Happy Independence Day to all of you and I am Rohan.
My respectful greetings to all the distinguished citizens, honourable guests, honourable principals and all my teachers, classmates present here.
On the occasion of Independence Day, thanks to all of you for giving me a golden opportunity to express my Independence Day speech in front of you.
Today, I am going to speak a few words in front of you and after listening to my speech the feeling of patriotism will be awakened in all of you, with it, your blood will boil towards the cruel British rulers.
And with this I begin my speech on Independence Day:
“Let’s wake ourselves up again today, revive the stick of discipline, there are golden colours. With the blood of the martyrs of this Independence Day, we all bow down to such martyrs.”
As we all know that August 15 is celebrated as Independence Day because on this day, our India got independence from the British rule.
It is due to the great freedom fighters of our India that we are able to breathe in peace today and we are completely free to make our own decisions and live a life according to ourselves without any interruption.
Freedom was not achieved easily, many brave sons of our country fought hard for many years, endured the atrocities of the British, shed their blood, devoted their whole lives for the independence of the country.
If our brave sons did not have the courage to fight against the Britishers and if they would not have faced all the battles and struggles, then we might have bounded in slaves and forced to bear the oppression of the British.
Therefore, this special day is to remember and salute the sacrifices of those brave sons of Mother India. At the same time, I would like to remember the sacrifices of the heroes.
We are very fortunate that such brave sons were born in India, who had suffered many troubles to get India free.
Among them Chandra Shekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Lala Lajpat Rai, Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Rani Laxmi Bai, Mangal Pandey, Nana Saheb, Tatya Tope, Rajguru, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
Our country is constantly moving forward in the fields of education, sports, technology, finance, transportation, science etc. and today our country is a nuclear power nation.
But even after so many years of independence, today the women of our country are suffering slavery.
In our country, today peoples are badly involved in corruption, bribery, crime, violence etc., which are highly shameful for our country and it is preventing our country from moving forward.
Take a pledge to end it, as well as becoming a seeker of progress, development of the country and not a hindrance.
At the same time, I stop this speech, in the end, I want to say a few lines- We are the pride of the young nation. We pledge for a united India.” Long live Mother India.”
