Given that,

Energy = 60 eV

We need to calculate the speed of electron

Using formula of energy

E=\dfrac{1}{2}mv^2

Where, m = mass of electron

v = speed of electron

Put the value into the formula

60 \times1.6\times10^{-19}=\dfrac{1}{2}\times9.1\times10^{-31}\times v^2

v^2=\dfrac{2\times60\times1.6\times10^{-19}}{9.1\times10^{-31}}

v=\sqrt{\dfrac{2\times60\times1.6\times10^{-19}}{9.1\times10^{-31}}}

v=4593354.0\ m/s

v=4.59\times10^{6}\ m/s

Hence, The speed of electron is 4.59\times10^{6}\ m/s
