At constant temp.gas follow Boyles law

Therefore PV=constant

Pm/d= contact

P/d=contact

Multiplying by Y and √on both side

√ YP/d= constant

v= constant ( since v= √YP/d by Laplace's correction)

Hence at constant temperature there is no effect of pressure on speed of sound
