sperm is a very highly motile structure. the energy comes from the last number of mitochondria present in the mid piece . ribosome Golgi bodies needed in the cell which undergo metabolism but sperm survive on glucose with need no metabolism there is no use of Golgi body and sperm has has no use of protein it is devoid of ribosome and its main aim is to contract the nucleus in short space . more the number of mitochondria more the motility. which in turn increase the fertility rate.
