Hey MATE!
Spin multiplicity is calculated by adding all the positive spin multiples and subtracting the spin multiples of electrons in opposite directions and then multiply it by 2 and add 1.
Like :
There are 5 electrons with up spin and one electron with down spin so we add 1/2 five times and then subtract 1/2 then multiply by 2 and then add 1 to
the result to get spin multiplcity.
