hello mate,
☺☺☺☺☺☺
sponge is a solid but still can be compressed becoz if u take a close look at the sponge it has tiny pores which is filled with air.
When a sponge is compressed the air escapes out and the sponge gets compressed.

Answer:
ho;la
Explanation:
A sponge is considered as solid as it has minute holes in which the air is trapped. When we press the sponge, the same air is released and thus we are able to compress it. It helps sponge to regain its shape and mass. In short terms, we can say that sponge is a conpressible solid.
