Sponge has very small holes throughout its structure. These holes are filled with air. When it is compressed, the air in the holes is squeezed out. Thus, we are able to compress it.
Hope it helps u!!

Answer:

Heya here is ur answer

Explanation:

Sponge is considered to be solid even if it changes its shape when compressed because it has tiny holes on its surface that allows the air to expell. It only changes it shape when external force is applied. That's why, it is considered solid.
