spoorthi bought a scooter for 40,000 rs and spent 5,000rs on its repair.then she sold it for 42,300rs. find the gain or loss and also its percent.........plzz snd the ans in photo

Spoorthi bought a scooter for Rs 40000 and spent Rs 5000 on repairing

So the total cost price i. e. CP = Rs 45000

And sold it for Rs 42300

So selling price i. e. SP = Rs 42300

CP > SP

So there is loss

Loss = CP - SP

= 45000 - 42300

= 2700

So the total loss is Rs 2700

Loss percent = loss / CP × 100

= 2700/45000 × 100

= 270/45

= 6

So Spoorthi suffers from a loss of 6%
