we have the number of students who participated in ‘Sports Day' are 2817.

cricket , football and swimming ratio is 4 : 3 : 2.

so let's find out the number of students who participated in cricket.

first the ratio of cricket = 4.

and the sum of ratio = 9.

therefore, total students × students who playing cricket that ratio ÷ sum of ratio.

2817 × 4 ÷ 9 = 1252.

now same method apply in football and swimming, the students who played football are number is 939 and the students who swimmed are number is 626.

Now check,

  • total students = 2817
  • students who played cricket =1252
  • students who played football=939
  • who swimmed= 626.

1252 + 939 + 626 = 2817.
