spring balance shows F = 1/2 k x ^2 ( k = spring Constant and x is distance moved by needle)
k is independent of Gravity and so x shows Same mass as caliberated under a Force on Earth.
it will show Mg = 1/2 k X sqaure
x ( the reading ( of travel on scale) = Root ( 2Mg/k)
the reading changes on Moons , Jupiter and Saturn's or wherever g is different and Hence weight is Different
