I wrote this as an answer :

select distinct city from station
where lower(city) like '[aeiou]%[aeiou]';

but it is not showing any answer why ?

▶In Microsoft SQL server you can achieve this from below query:

SELECT distinct City FROM STATION WHERE City LIKE '[AEIOU]%[AEIOU]'

OR

▶You could use a regular expression:

SELECT DISTINCT city FROM station WHERE city LIKE '^[aeiouAEIOU].*[aeiouAEIOU]$'
