Area of square=S×S=>5×5=25cm²

Side of square =Diameter of circle
5=Diameter

d=2r
5=2r
2.5cm=r

Area of circle=πr²
=22/7×2.5×2.5
=19.64cm²

Shaded region=25-19.64=>5.36cm²

Hey dear here is your answer!!!!!

___________________________

We have been given the information that the side of the square is 5 cm.

The side of the square would also serve as the diameter of the circle.

Also, the center of the square and the circle would be the same.

Hence, the radius of the circle would be 2.5 cm.

Now, the area of square would be:-

= Side²

= 5²

= 25 cm²

Now, the area of the circle would be:-

= πr²   ...(taking π = 3.14)

= \frac{314}{100}  x  \frac{25}{10} x\frac{25}{10}

=  \frac{196250}{10000}

= 19.625 cm²

So, the are of the shaded region would be :-

= Area of square - Area of circle

= 25 - 19.625

= 5.375 cm²

So, 5.375 cm² is your answer !
