Square of any number is always  Non-Negative

Square of a number is basically number multiplied by the number itself.

a² = a × a

Take few case  a  < 0

a = 0

a > 0

a < 0  => a  = -x  where x is positive

a² = (-x)² = (-x) * (-x)

(-)(-) = +

= x * x

Hence positive as  x is positive

a = 0

=> a² = 0  ( non negative)

a > 0

=> a² = Positive

Hence Square of any number is Non negative

for example

(-2)² = 4

0² = 0

3² = 9

All are non negative

Note :  Square of all non zero numbers is Positive
