The answer is true.

It is true that square numbers can be written as the sum of two odd numbers. Such a square number will always be even. This is because the sum of two odd numbers is always an even number.

A few examples of square numbers that is the sum of two odd numbers is:

4 (Square of 2; 1 + 3)

16 (Square of 4; 7 + 9)

36 (Square of 36; 27 + 9)

The statement: "Square numbers can be written as the sum of two odd numbers"
is not true.

For example
9, 25, 49, 81,121..... are square numbers but each of them cannot be as the sum of two odd numbers.
