√592 = 23

At ones place the digit is 9. we know that 3² = 9 and 72 = 49. Therefore in the square root of 529, at ones place the number will be 3 or 7. Now if we leave the two digits from right we get 5. Again we have to check the squares. We know that 2² = 4 and 3² = 9 and 2² < 5 < 3². Therefore taking the perfect square closest to 5 we take the digit 2. Thus our square root is 23 (check 23 x 23 = 529).
