The area of one tile = 0.2*0.2= 0.04 m^2

Area of room = 10*4.5= 45 m^2

number of tiles = 45/0.04

cost of putting tiles = 131.4*45/0.04

Answer:

Number of tiles = 1125

Total cost = Rs. 5913

Step-by-step explanation:

Side of square tile = 20 cm = 0.2 m

Area of tile = Side^2

                  = 0.2^2

                  = 0.04 m^2

Length of room = 10 m

Width of room = 4.5 m

Area of room = Length \times Width

                      = 10 \times 4.5

                     = 45 m^2

Number of tiles required = \frac{45}{0.04}

                                         = 1125

Cost of putting tiles at 1 sq.m. = 131.40

Cost of putting tiles at 45 sq.m. = 131.40 *45 = Rs. 5913
