Given:

Sri and Devi have a total of 2160 g of flour at first.

Sri used twice as much flour as Devi.

To find:

How much flour did Sri have at first?

Solution:

Let "x" be the amount of flour Devi had.

Therefore, "2x" is the amount of flour Sri had.

As Sri and Devi has a total of 2160 g of flour at first.

∴ x + 2x = 2160

⇒ 3x = 2160

∴ x = 720

Therefore, the amount of flour Devi had = 720 g

The amount of flour Sri had = 2 × 720 = 1440 g.
