Sri Lanka has a diverse population in the following way -

• The the diversity in the linguistic preferences of the population of Sri Lanka is highly noticeable. The people of Sri Lanka is divided into two major groups which is based upon the linguistic preferences. The divisions are - 1) Sinhala Speaker 2) Tamil Speaker.

• There are also many religions among the Sri Lankan population. Such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity etc. These diversity of the religious preferences is also a reason behind the diversity of the whole Sri Lankan population.

• There are many Indian Tamil people in the total population of the Sri Lanka and that's why, there is certainly a religious diversity in the population of Sri Lanka.

In this way,the Sri Lanka has achieved a diverse population.
