Answer:

Amount received by Srividya on retirement in rupees = 72,000

Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose

Amount received by Srividya on retirement in rupees =  x

Amount deposited by Srividya in bank = 0.5x

Amount Remaining = x - 0.5x = 0.5x

Amount given to her daughter = 0.5 (0.5x) + 6000

Amount given to her daughter = 0.25x + 6000

Amount given to Son = 0.5 (Amount Received by Daughter)

Amount given to Son = 0.5 (0.25x + 6000)

Amount given to Son = 0.125x + 3000

We can say that

Total Amount Received by Srividya = Amount in bank + Amount given to daughter + Amount Given to Son

x = 0.5x + 0.25x + 6000 + 0.125x + 3000

x = 0.875x + 90000

x - 0.875x = 9000

0.125x = 9000

 x = \frac{9000}{0.125}

x = 72,000

So,

Amount received by Srividya on retirement in rupees = 72,000

Solution :

Let the amount Srividya get on

her retirement = Rs x ---( 1 )

Deposited amount in Bank = Rs (x/2)--(2)

Amount gives to her daughter

=1/2[ (x/2)] +6000

= x/4 + 6000 -----( 3 )

Amount given to son = 1/2[ (3)/2 ]

= 1/2[ (x/4+ 6000 ]

= x/8 + 3000 -----( 4 )

According to the problem given ,

( 1 ) = (2) + (3) + (4)

=> x = x/2 + (x/4 + 6000)+(x/8 + 3000)

=> x = x/2 + x/4 + x/8 + 9000

=> x - x/2 - x/4 - x/8 = 9000

=> ( 8x - 4x - 2x - x )/8 = 9000

=> x = 8 × 9000

=> x = Rs 72000

Therefore ,

Srividya get the amount on her

retirement ( x ) = Rs 72000
