Sertoli cells are present inside the seminiferous tubules ( functional unit of testes) in the testicular lobule. Internal lining of seminiferous tubule is germinal epithilum which gives rise to Germ cell ( to give sperms ) and sertoli cells ( nurse cells , provide nourishment to sperms ).

The secretion of sertoli cells:

Provides nourishment to sperms or spermatozoa.

Contains AMF ( Anti — Mullerian Factor ). To check the development of the mullerian duct ( embryonic oviduct ).

Contains ABP ( Androgen Binding Protein ). Responsible for testosterone concentration.

To absorb broken part of developing spermatozoa.

To form Tissue — Blood Barrier.

Contains Inhibin. To prevent the over activity of FSH.
