He has 30 points at the end of 100 tries he hit the target 65 times so got 65 points but he missed 35 targets so lost 35 points from 65 points earned so the result will be 65-35=30 points.

65 times did he hit the target
EXPLANATION:
Given, total number of targets are 100.
Let the hit targets be x, therefore the number of missed targets are 100 - x
The man gets INR 1 whenever he hits the target. However he also losses INR 1 too, in case of missing the target.
Hence, Hit target is 1(x) which is INR x
Hence, Missed target is 1(100 - x) which 100 - x
Now, we have -
Rupees gained by man = Rs. x
Rupees lost by man = Rs. (100 - x)
The total money he got is INR 30
Rupees gained by the man - Rupees lost by the man = Total rupees received
That is, x- (100-x) = 30
2x - 100 = 30
2x = 30 + 100
2x = 130
x = 130/2
Therefore x = 65
