The H.C.F. and L.C.M of two numbers are 11 and 385 respectively. If one number lies between 75 and 125, then that number is :

Let the numbers be  A  and B.  let      75 <=  X  <=  125.
HCF =  11  and  LCM = 35.

product of the numbers is the product of HCF and LCM.
 A * B =  11 * 35 = 11 * 5 * 7 = 5 * 77  = 55 * 7

in the factors  on the RHS,   77 is between 75 and 125.

Hence,  that number is 77.
