1) The skeleton :

  • Skull – including the jaw bone.
  • Spine – cervical, thoracic and lumbar vertebrae, sacrum and tailbone (coccyx)
  • Chest – ribs and breastbone (sternum)
  • Arms – shoulder blade (scapula), collar bone (clavicle), humerus, radius and ulna.

2) The six types of freely movable joint include ball and socket, saddle, hinge, condyloid, pivot and gliding. Common causes of joint pain include inflammation (pain and swelling), infection and injury.

3) Bone marrow is soft, spongy tissue in the body that contains hematopoietic stem cells. It is found in the center of most bones. Hematopoietic stem cells are also found in the blood that is moving throughout your body.
