Stain of curry on a white cloth become reddish brown when soap is scrubbed on it and turns yellow again when the cloth is washed with plenty of water.Give reason for the above statement.

This happens because curry has turmeric and when turmeric comes in contact with base(soap) , it's colour changed into red.

Becoz curry contains turmeric. Turmeric is an indicator which gives red colour with a base since soap is a base so we get red colour....
