Explanation:

Given Standard deviation of 3,5,7,9,11,13

We need to find the mean. So we need to do the sum of numbers and divide by number of terms.

So x bar = 3 + 5 + 7 + 9 + 11 + 13 / 6

              = 48 / 6

               = 8

We know that standard deviation is given by the formula

    So σ = √(xi – x avg)^2 / n – 1

Now σ = √ (3 – 8)^2 + (5 – 8)^2 + (7 – 8)^2 + (9 – 8)^2 + (11 – 8)^2 + (13 – 8)^2 / 6 – 1

           = √-5^2 + (-3)^2 + (- 1)^2 + 1^2 + (3)^2 + 5^2 / 5

         = √25 + 9 + 1 + 1 + 9 + 25 / 5

            = √14

           = 3.741

So we get the standard deviation as 3.7
