Answer: Similarities between Clinical Thermometer and  a laboratory thermometer  are:-

1)Both are made of glass and consist of long narrow glass tube.

2) At one end both of them have a bulb.

3) Bulbs of both the thermometers consist of mercury

4) Celsius scale is present in both the thermometer

Differences between Clinical Thermometer and  a laboratory thermometer  are :-

1) The clinical thermometer is used to measure body temperature, however, laboratory thermometer is not used for the purpose of measuring body temperature.

2) The temperature range of clinical thermometers is 35°C to 42°C and that of laboratory thermometers is -10°C to 110°C.

3) The clinical thermometer is can be tilted while reading the temperature values whereas laboratory thermometer need to be kept upright.
