Given that, starting or initial distance is 2000km and final distance is 2400 km.

We have to find the average speed in km/hr and m/s.

Total distance covered = Final distance - Initial distance

= (2400 - 2000) km

= 400 km

Also given time is 8 hr.

Now,

Average speed is defined as the ratio of total distance covered with respect to total time taken. While average velocity is defined as the ratio of total displacement with respect to total time taken.

So,

Average speed = (Total distance covered)/(Total time taken)

= 400/8 = 50 km/hr

To convert km/hr into m/s. Multiply the value by 5/18.

Average speed = 50 × 5/18 = 13.89 m/s

Therefore, the average speed in km/hr is 50 km/hr and in m/s is 13.89 m/s.

Answer:2400km , 2000km , t=8hrs

so the distance is 2400-2000=400km

speed(avg) =400/8=50kph

Explanation:

speed(avg)= total distance / total time

In this question the initial distance is given as 2000km and final is 2400km , but we need to find the avg. speed of the of the distance travelled in between.
