Hi,

Here is your answer

First Case:

Given:

Initial velocity(u)=0m/s

Final velocity(v)=10m/s

Time taken(t)=2 s

To Find:

Acceleration(a)

Solution:

Acceleration is given by the equation

a=(v-u)/t

Substituting the given datas, we get

a=(10-0)/2

a=5m/s²

Second case:

Given:

Initial velocity(u)=10m/s

Final velocity(v)=4m/s

Time taken(t)=5 s

To Find:

Acceleration(a)

Solution:

Acceleration(a)=(v-u)/t

Substituting the given dats, we get

a=(4-10)/5

a= -1.2m/s²

Here acceleration is negative since it is deceleration.

Notes:

1.Acceleration is defined as the change of velocity with respect to time.

2. It's unit is m/s²

Hope this helps you.
