Let, the length be x and the breadth be y

So, the total distance covered =2(x+y)

total time taken =2*4

                         = 8 minutes (there are 4 sides in a rectangle)

   Velocity=2(x+y)/8

                = (x+y)/4

The average velocity is (x+y)/4 though we can't say it as an uniform motion as we know that in a rectangle all the 4 sides are not equal only the parallel sides are equal. So, there is increasing and decreasing n velocity as it is always taking to minutes to cover each side and in comparison breadth are shorter than the length so, each time the velocity is decreasing when it is passing the breadth.
