speed =  \frac{distance}{time}

hence

and speed of 2 is

 \frac{x}{8}

hence

while comparing both speeds we get

speed \: of \: obect \frac{1}{2} = \frac{x}{4} \div  \frac{x}{8}  =  \frac{x}{4 }  \times  \frac{8}{x}  =  \frac{2}{1}
