Path of inspired air crosses following organs in following order -
Paired nostrils, pharynx, trachea,
primary bronchi, secondary bronchi, tertiary bronchi, bronchioles, alveoli.
•Gas exchange occurs at alveoli.
•Paired nostrils have hair.like projections, to cause flow of only air into the body.
•Dirt is hence filtered.
•Trachea connects pharynx to lungs.
•Primary bronchi, secondary bronchi, tertiary bronchi, bronchioles, alveoli are all part of lungs, present in given order.
•In lungs, oxygen is transferred from outer air to the blood.
•Carbon di oxide from blood is transferred to outer air.
•Transfer occurs due to difference in partial pressure of both gases.
