Starting from the stationary position,Rahul paddles his cycle to attain velocity of 8m/s in 40 seconds. Then he applies brakes such that the velocity of bicycle comes down to 6m/second in next 15 second. Calculate the acceleration of the bicycle in both the cases.

final velocity =8m/s

time =40sec

We know v=u+at

8=0+a*40

or, a=0.2

second case:-

the initial velocity =8m/s

final velocity =6m/s

time = 15sec

Again,

6=8+a*15

or, a*15=-2

or, a=-1.3
