on multiplying 100 on both sides we get
100x = 76.66666..... .... (2)
on subtracting equation 1 from 2 we get
100x - x = 76.66666.... - 0.766666
99x = 75.9
x = 75.9/99
x = 759/99
x = 253/33
Ans. = 23/3

im not sure I think it might have something to do with instead of multiplying by 100 something less?
