The difference between regular and diffuse reflection
Reflection is what allows us to see things. Light, from a souce such as a light globe or the Sun, strikes the objects and is reflected back to our eyes. There are two main types of reflection: diffuse reflection and regular reflection. See the diagram below.
Regular reflection:1. Reflection from a polished surface is called regular reflection.
2. The rays are parallel.
3. Give glaze to our eyes.
4. Example, plain mirror.
Diffused Reflection:1. Reflection from a rough surface is called diffuse reflection.
2. The rays are not parallel.
3. It makes objects visible.
4. Example, wall.
