Streamline is an imaginary line in the flow field the tangent to which at any point gives the direction of flow field. In a streamlined flow, the fluid particles move in an orderly manner and this flow is also known as laminar flow. Viscosity between layers of fluid is more in this type of flow rather than in turbulent flow.
