Given :-

  • Number is less than half of 100 .
  1. Greater than 40 .
  • Tens digit is 2 greater than the unit's digit .
  • Sum of digits is 6.

Solution :-

Let us assume that, the required number is (10x + y) .

→ Less than = 100/2 = Less than 50 and greater than 40 .

so,

→ 40 < 10x + y < 50 .

now,

→ x + y = 6

x - y = 2

2x = 8

→ x = 4 .

then,

→ y = 6 - 4 = 2 .

therefore,

→ Required number = 10x + y = 10*4 + 2 = 40 + 2 = 42 (Ans.)
