Answer:

CONTACT FORCES:-

The forces which are present only when two different bodies are in continuous contact with each other are known as contact forces. There are two main types of contact forces:

1. Muscular Force- The force exerted by the action of muscles in the body of living beings is known as muscular force. For ex: a push or pull

2. Frictional Force- The force which always opposes the motion of an object is known as frictional force. It is caused due to the irregularities present on the surfaces of two different bodies.

NON CONTACT FORCES:-

The types of forces present when two bodies are not in continuous contact with each other are known as non contact forces. There are three main types of non contact forces:

1. Electrostatic Force- When two bodies are charged and attract, the force causing them to attract is called electrostatic force. For ex: when we rub a plastic scale on our hair, it starts to attract small pieces of paper

2. Gravitational Force- The force exerted by the Earth which pulls objects towards itself is known as gravitational force.

3. Magnetic Force- The force exerted by a magnet causing it to attract with opposite poles and repel the like poles is known as magnetic force.

Hope it helps
