Current is the rate of flow of charge. The SI unit of current is Ampere (A). 1 Ampere current is the flow of 1 C charge through a cross-section in 1 second

When 1 coulomb of charge flows through a wire in 1 second then it is said to be 1 Ampere

1A = 1C/1s
